Dr. Matute is also a Lumineers® dentist. Lumineers® by Cerinate® is a painless and easy way to reshape and permanently whiten your smile! Imagine a perfect smile without the use of needles! This is the only procedure in dentistry that comes with a warranty and the specially designed porcelain is known to last for up to 20 years or more. In many cases, Lumineers® by Cerinate® is a faster and easier alternative to braces and much less invasive than traditional veneers. With Lumineers® there's no need for temporaries because there is little to no grinding or shaving of the sensitive tooth structure. Even if you have had previous work done to your teeth, Lumineers® by Cerinate® are so thin they can be placed right over old crowns, bridges, or veneers. Dr. Victor Matute also offers traditional veneers, crowns, and bridges to give you that Hollywood smile you've always dreamed of. He is a fellow of the International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics meaning he is "committed to the pursuit of excellence through continuing interdisciplinary education in the field of facial esthetics," and has received recognition from the peers in his field. Dr. Matute is always on top of the latest procedures and techniques to give you the smile you want. |
Need a root canal? Dr. Matute can often perform root canal procedures in one visit with the rotary system, the same system used by specialists. Using the rotary system means you can spend less time in the dental chair and you are exposed to less x-rays with the use of the apex locator. No more tedious visits to the dentist; most root canals can be performed in about one hour! |
Dr. Matute offers non-surgical gum treatment to treat periodontal disease. Periodontitis is swelling of the gums caused by a bacterial infection in the mouth. This infection causes recession of the gums, exposure of the root, bone loss, and tooth loss. There is also a connection between gum disease and heart disease. Studies show that the most common strain of bacteria in dental plaque may cause blood clots. When blood clots escape into the bloodstream, there is a relation to increased risk of heart attacks and other heart related illnesses. A recent study describes the association between heart disease and gum disease to be at least as strong as the linkage of heart disease to cholesterol, body weight and smoking. Bacteria in plaque have also been linked to: - Inflammation of the lining of the blood vessels that is known to lead to constriction in the arteries.
- Infective endocarditis, a potentially fatal disease in which the inner lining of the heart becomes inflamed.
- Lung infections in people with chronic lung diseases.
- A weakened immune system that can slow wound healing amd diminish a person's response to Hepatits B and Flu vaccines.
- A higher risk of delivering premature, low birth weight infants.
- Tooth loss.
Dr. Victor Matute can now treat gum disease with a non-surgical gum treatment known as ARESTIN®. ARESTIN® is a localized antibiotic. Each application is placed in pockets of 4mm or more and use of this medication has shown a drastic improvement in patients with periodontal disease. ARESTIN® (minocycline HCl) 1 mg Microspheres is indicated as an adjunctive therapy to scaling and root planing (SRP) procedures for reduction of pocket depth in patients with adult periodontitis. Scaling and root planing is a deep cleaning procedure that removes plaque, tartar, and stains from the surface of teeth (scaling) and smoothes the rough areas on the roots of teeth to promote healing (planing). |
